Last Home game of the season

So tonight was BYU versus University of New Mexico, it was supposed to be the biggest game this season and it turned out to be a great game.

We caught up to some of our ward peeps, it was so fun!

They gave out these super cool glasses as advertisement for spring/summer classes...Kyle likes to think he is all that.
Here is Jonathan Tavernari, his last game at home...good bye JT!

This was at halftime...we ended up coming back and it was a great game, but we lost 81 to 83. So close too!

"Twenties Girl" in the 21st Century

"Twenties Girl" was a super cute read. There is something there for everyone, mystery, romance, and fantasy. Lara Lington is a headhunter going to her great-aunt Sadie's burial when all of a sudden Sadie at 23 shows up looking for her lost necklace. It was a story about growing up, betrayal and learning about yourself. I would recommend this to anyone because it is enjoyable and fun. The only negative I could say about it is that it is a slow story all the way through, you just have to push yourself through it. Hope you enjoy it!

Valentine's Day may be the new Love Actually

Valentine's Day came off as if it was going to be either horrible or awesome. It ended up being awesome no matter what other people have said. The all star cast just made the movie; every actor got to play a different character than they had before. Unlike "Love Actually" it was much more humorous and lovable. I would watch this over and over again because even though there are a lot of characters you get really close to all of them.

One of my favorite storylines was Bradley Cooper and Julia Roberts. The entire time they were in a plane talking but it was hilarious.

The movie though revolves around these two best friends and their efforts with love; getting engaged, dating, getting dumped. They really made the movie. I was even more surprised by Ashton Kutcher's performance because it was not over the top like some of his other romantic comedies.

This was a super cute movie and would recommend it to anyone 16 and above because of some innuendos and sexual content. Go see it and be happy!

Wolfman or Wolfdud?

Kyle and my Valentine plans have always been rather different than most couples; we like to watch scary movies. Wolfman was our pick this year but it turned into kind of a sour note. The beginning was great with great set up and suspense but by the end you could figure out every twist and turn. The cinematography is wonderful keeps you watching every frame. I also quite enjoyed the costuming, being a fan of period pieces it was rich andfull of life. Benicio del Toro proved in this movie what a great actor he is. I would consider checking out more films by and with him. It was great to see Anthony Hopkins in a film again, always the stoic father figure. Emily Blunt also makes a great female character with finally some backbone. I think this is more of a renter but enjoyable in any case.

The dark side with "Darkly Dreaming Dexter"

So I just finished going into the darkest mind ever. "Dexter" is a book about a blood splatter specialist that has a love for killing. He is a murderer, but only bad guys of course. It is interesting to delve into the mind of someone who is psychologically evil but trying to be a good guy. He is the guy next door, really, you would have no idea that he kills people for fun. He was trained by his adoptive cop dad how to seem normal, elude the police and still kill bad guys, the guys that the cops couldn't really get a hold of.
All in all it was a very enjoyable book full of mystery and intrigue just make sure you don't have a weak stomach...

Sunday's at Tiffany's needs more diamonds

So I just finished reading "Sundays at Tiffany's" by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet. It was a smarmy, sappy story that was over-hyped. I was excited at first to see a romance with a little sci-fi to it but it ended up being just another lame romance novel. The concept of a girl's imaginary friend coming back into her life later on but for real is really an interesting concept but it fell apart  because I didn't really care that this 30 something Broadway producer had to give up her stuck up, gorgeous boyfriend to be with her "down to earth", gorgeous imaginary friend....sucks to be her I guess. All of this aside, it was an extremely short read so if you want to try it out go for it but it will leave you disappointed and wanting more.
