Down With The Capitol!!!

About a year ago my  mom told me that she had just finished the next mania book. I did not believe her but oh was I wrong! The Hunger Games is now one of my most favorite books ever!!! I read both Hunger Games and Catching Fire in 5 days and I am so excited for Mockingjay. I can't believe how obsessed I have gotten because of these books, way more than Twilight. I bought this shirt the other day and I can't seem to take it off I love it so much.
I am also planning on attending a Suzanne Collins book signing on November 3rd in Palo Alto....I will get to meet the genius that wrote these wonderful books for all ages. It will be a book I read to my kids. I cannot wait to see how this story ends oh and...

Hunger Games: a new classic?

I haven't read a story in while that makes me love the character and feel for her as much as Hunger Games has. I didn't start reading this book immediately because of all the hype. Everyone said that it was going to be the next Twilight series and I just cringed because books never seem to live up to their names....Hunger Games does!!! I think that a story about a girl that has to do what she can to survive and still keep her humanity intact is something I have been waiting to read for quite some time. Not only does it have appeal for woman but also men can enjoy the rawness that it exudes. Best part of it all is that it starts off as a survival story and ends up being a love story, one that asks some great questions about love and we know if it is truly love that we are feeling. It is now one of my favorites and I can't wait to read Catching Fire. Team Peeta all the way!!!

Eat Pray Love...sounds like a great idea!

This afternoon I went to watch Eat Pray Love with my mother in law and I loved it. It is much slower than most films because it is about a woman dealing with her own self-worth. I was able to connect with Liz even though I never have been through what she was going through. I teared up several times so make sure to bring some tissues. For those that don't want to know about the movie don't read any further, just remember that I loved it and you should go with a girlfriend as soon as you can.
This movie starts off with Liz, a woman visiting Bali for her book, meeting with a medicine man. He read her palm and tells her that she is a world traveler, and that she will have two loves in her life, one short and one long. Six months later she is married and asking herself who has she become. She tells her husband she doesn't want to be married anymore and ends up with an actor younger than her. She finally realizes that she has been dating someone since she was 15 and has never given herself time to become herself. Her idea is to get away for a year while she visits Italy, India, and Bali.
In each city she begins to let go of her own baggage while she Eats Prays and finally Loves again. Javier Bardem plays Felipe, a Brazilian guy running away from his own problems in Bali. I hope you all enjoy the film and for those that are members of the church realize how wonderful it is that we have the Gospel in our lives especially through hard times.

Update to the max!

So an update for the last 5 months because I really am terrible at keeping this updated...
March was Holi The Festival of Colors.

The temple is gorgeous and clean beforehand.

Kyle's favorite part are the llamas.

It was Andre's favorite too.

Not Emily's though...

This was one of Kyle and mine first dates.

We were prepared for war!

April was bittersweet because Kyle graduated from Brigham Young University and we would be leaving Provo.

Kyle graduated in Business Finance.

Kyle was a stud!

All of the wonderful family that came to support Kyle.

Grandma and Grandpa Moe were wonderful and so helpful in financing Kyle's education.
In May, Kyle and I went to CA for Memorial Day weekend and spent a day in San Fransisco.

We went to see WICKED! I had been waiting forever to see this show.

It was an awesome show, I would recommend it to anyone!
In June, Andre graduated from Waterford.

Mrs. Heuston was an amazing principle.
My little brother is so grown up.

In July, I took Kyle to the Bingham Copper Mine. I have a picture of me in this tire when I was 4.

This mine can be seen from space it is so huge.

The goofballs pretending to actually work hard.

This next update is that Kyle and I have moved to Roseville, CA. Kyle got a job with State Street Financial in downtown Sacramento. We have been in California for two weeks and have found our apartment, Coventry Park, but won't be able to move in until the 8th of September. I am planning on teaching piano but am also looking for a job so I don't feel like a free loading wife. I will let you know if any more news comes up.
