Yay Weekend!

So this weekend started out with some great accomplishments. Friday night Kyle and I hosted two other couples; Devin and Katrina Cammack and Sean and Kirra Self. We were so excited, ok I was so excited to use our new serving platters and such. We are simple married folk so we had hot dogs and salad. Kirra was so kind enough to bring over mashed potatoes and Katrina made brownies. It was so fun to have an actual married get-together. We talked about marriage stuff and the boys were already talking about having a guys night... Kyle and I hope to have a lot more of these through out the school year.

Last night was the crowning jewel. BYU number 20 in the nation beat out the Oklahoma Sooners number 3. It was amazing but a true test for our players. It was a tough game but we held out strong. I think that the more the teams in the Mountain West Conference do well the more recognition we can get as actual opponents. Thanks to Jeff and Steph Greenley for hosting the game watching at their house. Steph made some amazing taco soup....can't wait for the next away game when we can get some more yummy goodness.
Hopefully for Labor Day weekend we will actually do something worthwhile so we can blog about it some more...

Movies and Television

So Kyle and I are kind of obssessed with movies and tv. So not only have we already set up our tv schedule of all the shows we watch but we have also planned out which ones can be watched online so that we won't miss the ones that arn't. One show that we are really excited about is Glee. It will be on FOX wednesday nights. This show is Kyle and I through and through if we could do High School all over again. We would be the musical theatre nerds and proud of it (that is how we met and all). Check out the first episode at http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=glee.

Now we recently decided we were going to save money by going to see movies in the dollar theatre but we could not wait to see "District 9". It was an awesome movie. We left the movie in awe...we couldn't even form words. I have never seen a movie that talks about segregation and what comes from it like this movie. Of course watching such a heavy topic in the guise of a science fiction movie made it a lot more bareable. It is filmed in a documentary type in South Africa. I felt through out the movie that I was almost watching a newscast on CNN. It was rated "R" for language and violence but if you are willing, please go see this movie. It is well worth your time.

Starting...

So Kyle and I are going to officially start a blog to document our "Comings and Goings". My darling husband has been really great about keeping our 10 year journal up to date and so I thought the least I could do is keep up a blog. Now that we are talking about record keeping this 10 year journal that we have is super awesome! You can go to www.journal10.com to find out even more, but it really is the best thing for people that hate writing in journals. Check it out.
We moved into Wymount Terrace last Friday and are so excited to have our own little place. We were so lucky to spend all summer with Kyle's family but moving in was awesome. I will post pictures of the apartment some other time but until then enjoy and keep your own journal.
